Default Has any body used PartLibrary.org for Adding existing components?

I am trying to upload BOM of my card in Lambda predict.
It seems adding existing components using the PartLibrary.org is not yet enabled in Lamdba Predict.
Is there any other way we can search with manufacturer part number.

Thanks,
Anand

Hi Anand,

You are correct that PartLibraries.org is not yet enabled. However, this should be active within the next month. Access to PartLibraries.org will be available on a subscription basis.

Just to clarify, Lambda Predict will not conduct an automatic search on PartLibraries.org for the part numbers imported from your BOM. However, the search can be conducted manually.

I hope this helps.

Hi David,

Thanks a lot for the information.

Is PartLibrary.org a completly new feature that will be available next month OR is it undergoing some upgradation and temperorily not available?

What I want to understand is the difference between standard based predictions like Telcordia issue 2 and searching for the actual manufacturer part data using PartLibrary.org

Regards,
Anand

PartLibraries.org is a completely new feature that we will be providing. It has not been previously available.

I hope this helps.

Hi David,

Is PartLibrary.org the only way where i can search for failure data using manufacturer part number in Lambda Predict.

Can you please give some more information on what actually are the main advantages of using PartLibrary.org over standard based model. I could not find much information in help files.

Regards,
Anand

PartLibraries.org will contain specifc commercial parts based on the manufacturer each part having its own specific properties (specs). The parts in the standards have their own set of specs which are defined by the standard. These specifications are not linked to a particular commercial part. The specs could be changed to match a specific commercial part but each individual value would have to be changed to match those of the commercial part. PartLibraries.org will allow you to search for a commercial part and then import that information into Lambda Predict. PartLibraries.org will make it easier to add specific commercial parts into your project.
