Difference between mission time and Required time in Weibull DRT

Hi All,

I m a new member to this forum. I had the following query.

In DRT (Weibull), there is required time we need to input along with Rel and CL to get the test time or sample size.

Does this required time means, mission time or total time the product is going to witness in its specified life?

Say the mission time of one operation using the product is 1 hour and total operation use throughout its life is 5000 hrs. what we have to feed in required time in DRT?

Hi Abhay,

The required time corresponds to the time at which you have your specified required reliability given the confidence level. These inputs define the goal that you are trying to demonstrate. For example, if you have trying to demonstrate a 90% reliability with a 90% confidence level at 1000 hours then you would enter 1000 for the required time.
