Handling dependencies

Hi
if i have two components and the failure of one component has a functional depency on the failure of the other(neither load sharing nor standby), can i handle such depencies? if so how do i get the quantifeid dependency practically if i have the failure distributions of both?
and can i handle such dependencies in fault tree analysis?

What you need is failure times for each component while the other dependent component is working and while the other component have failed, you can then construct a life stress relationship model that describes the dependency between the 2 components using ALTA. The models can be then used in BlockSim to model the system and estimate system reliability or perform other system analysis.
