HelioVolt Corporation, based in Austin, Texas is a "Thin Film" solar energy company working on the production of electricity utilizing the Sun. We are currenyly looking for an "ENVIRONMENTAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER" to join our efforts.

ENVIRONMENTAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Reliability & Test process improvement projects and programs required to ensure high performance, reliable modules and to ensure that we have capable test measurement systems and data gathering/analysis processes.
Position Responsibilties:

Determine test protocols for internal environmental testing for design engineering changes.
Develop, implement, document, and continuously improve Product Reliability Monitoring programs.
Develop, implement, document, and continuously improve Product and Process Qualification programs.
Manage the collection of data from the field, in-house accelerated test programs, product characterization testing, post-deployment product testing, etc.
Work with vendors to determine materials and best practices to ensure reliable equipment performance
Hipot testing and reverse bias curing of shunted segments
Responsible for data reduction, data analysis, and generation of internal and external reports.
Manage the design and installation of internal and external hardware test related systems (PV arrays, environmental stress chambers, data acquisition and communications systems, database storage, etc.).
Manage the design, development and implementation of necessary software tools to automate monitoring, storage, analysis and reporting of data from test systems.
Coordinate with Failure Analysis team to determine the mechanisms and root cause of product failures identified in field and in-house testing.
Develop test procedures and equipment to accelerate and detect product failure mechanisms known to exist in the field.
Responsible for the development of project plans, schedules and budgets (including cost projections) and adherence to the same. Presents project and program status reports.
Responsible for the accurate measurement and rating of all products through proper calibration and control of the company solar simulators.
Negotiation/coordination of work with contractors, test facilities, national labs, etc.
Provide technical assistance to other groups (applications engineering, failure analysis, process engineering, supply chain, financeetc.).
Responsible to oversee the handling of module data regarding module reliability, conversion efficiency and manufacturing yield.
Ensures adherence to all safety and environmental procedures and housekeeping standards.
Responsible for effective communication levels, fosters team building, encourages creativity and out of the box thinking. Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in a Technical Discipline or a related Physical Science Field.
Experience with the equipment and materials available for protecting thin film photovoltaics from the external environment.
Knowledgeable of the accelerated testing required to certify photovoltaic modules for UL and Tuv as well as other requirements.
Proven ability to quickly understand and work with the equipment for testing large area interconnected PV modules to AM1.5 conditions
Testing program development, implementation and management
Test Data Analysis and Reporting
Design of Test Procedures and automation systems for data logging, analysis and reporting. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in PV technology industry is highly desired
