A $140 million manufacturer of heavy duty engine components seeks a Senior Reliability Engineer. The company, located near Hartford, Connecticut, is the leading producer of commercial vehicle retarding systems and is widely recognized for its innovative business practices, modern manufacturing methods and strong commitment to R&D.
The person in this position will lead the initiative to include Reliablity as part of the normal product development process. The person will be an active participant in design reviews and new product gate reviews as well as participate and lead problem solving activities. The position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Requirements for the position include:
- BSME with 7+ years experience in Reliability Engineering Function
- Previous experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industries
- Mid to high level communication skills (written and oral)
- Previous experience with Reliability software packages
- Ability to work well with others
- Assertion and persuasion skills
Desired:
- ASQ CQE &/or CRE
- Masters Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
- Previous teaching/training experience
