Hi everyone,

The problem that I have is that I would like to predict the future life cycle costs of our installed base. I am able to make an RBD of our system and can calculate the life cycle cost of this one system using BlockSim6. However, we already have an installed base of many products and are introducing new products in this installed base every month. Based on the life cycle cost of one system I would e.g. like to calculate what the total costs are next year and the years after.

Is it possible to use BlockSim6 (or other tools) to perform such analysis?

I am not sure how exactly you modeled it or what the population includes, but if you got one system in BlockSim you could try to estimate the population in BlockSim by doing some additional computations, (i.e. come up with a cost table by age, using multiple analyses, and then use that in conjunction with the population).

You may also want to take a look at RENO, http://reno.reliasoft.com/ (http://reno.reliasoft.com/), in conjunction with BlockSim.
