Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (AESI) is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer for a 12 month contract with our client located in Santa Clara, CA (Silicon Valley).

Job Description:

The major responsibility of the RAM-T Engineer is to provide Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Testability (RAM-T) technical engineering influence into design studies, concept selection, detail design manufacturing and test processes. This is accomplished through mathematical, statically assessments and predictions of the objective designs requirements and test data. RAM-T principles, methods and practices will be utilized to assure designs and processes will meet reliability requirements.

Tasks include:
Provide Testability analyses and inputs for the System and Product Development process; prepare Testability models; perform assessments, determine and implement appropriate health management system, determine required prognostics and diagnostic applications for key systems and components, assess system level serviceability, maintainability analyses; provide key planning and be instrumental to verification and validation of component and system level testability requirements. Create and maintain testability databases; team with the Lead Systems Integrator, Government, and other BAE design/support groups to analyze and provide technical input to new FCS systems and subsystems. Manage cost and schedule activities that support testability improvement goals.

This Reliability family (RAMT) position is focused on the Testability activities required on the FCS Program. The candidate will provide design influence support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) during requirements development, concept selection, trade studies, source selections, validations and final designs activities. Perform testability analyses and provide input to engineering, Subcontractors and Suppliers to ensure designs include necessary test and diagnostic considerations.

Education and Experience:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in ME, EE, Math, Statistics or Physics (or equivalent Engineering degree). Requires continuing education in either a technical/reliability field or equivalent experience in the application of specified reliability skills. ASQ Reliability certification, engineering license, etc. is recommended.

EXPERIENCE: BS: Minimum 5 years as a RAM-T Engineer, or equivalent technical experience; Understanding of M&S, PoF, RET and V&V methods, practices and data. MS: Minimum 3 years as a RAM-T Engineer, or equivalent technical experience: Understanding of M&S, PoF, RET and V&V methods, practices and data.
