I entered some data into Weibull++ 6 and noted that a couple of data points were zero by mistake. Instead of choking on this data, the Weibull software happily fit it with a "Z" factor to pair down the Reliability plotted to account for the zero data points.

While it was an interesting solution, it does not appear in the documentation or the training. Also, the only readout of the Z factor calculated is on the bottom of any plots generated.

Some recommendations to help this:
- Please add the Z calculated to the data panel when appropriate.
- Also please allow for Z changes in the Alter Parameters Dialogue.
- Finally, it would be appropriate to dual plot R/Z with R to show the adjusted plot that is actually fit (similar to 3-parameter Weibull plots).

Kyle,

Thanks for the input. You are correct in what you mentioned.
It is “kind of hidden feature” (variation in the solution method) that was added based on a specific customer request. As per your recommendations, you can have that shown in the results panel by checking the option in the “User Setup>Data Folio> Show PNZ”. The other recommendations have been forwarded to our design group.

Setting changed and works fine for the first item. Thanks for the help on this.
