I am trying to justify the purchase of Weibull ++ software for my company. However, I am told that we have invested in Statistica for all our statistical needs. I am impressed with the general power and flexibility of the Statistica tool, however I cannot find much treatment of reliability.
Can anyone provide me with a more concrete comparison, or point me to another resource where I can make my case for Weibull++?

As you have stated yourself, general statistical tools, such as Statistica, have not been designed with Reliability in mind.
Such tools have been designed to address general statistics and can become cumbersome to use when trying to apply them to specific disciplines such as Reliability. When it comes to Reliability, your data input requirements, reliability metrics, results, charts, graphs, etc are a few clicks away in Weibull++. Trying to get the same results in general statistical packages might be impossible, or quite cumbersome and time-consuming at best.
As your reliability needs become more sophisticated, you will also find that general statistical tools cannot meet your needs. Weibull++ has been specifically designed for Reliability engineering life data analysis and it includes a host of ancillary tools to help you get the job done. In other words assuming that the task at hand is to analyze life data for reliability, Weibull++ is the right tool for the right task.
You can try to use a knife to perform surgery but if you have surgical tools available, why would you?

Add my two bits -- W++ integrates with their other tools that you will need to utilize as you get into more in depth analysis, such as their BlockSim, which in my opinion is the best thing since sliced bread.
