During the selection process of a Condition based monitoring (CBM) system or computerised maintenance management system (CMMS), how much influence does the quality and ease of use of the user interface (information presented to users via your computer screen/display) have over your selection?

Do you look for or expect to see any specific type of information or functionality available on a CBM or CMMS user interface, before deciding whether to purchase it?

Ease of use is the most important thing. If its not easy then you will not use it. Having information available is important, but having more then you need is even worse.

We started off with Que Centre's basic CMMS (https://www.quecentre.com/) because it was easier to use. Once our needs grew then we migrated to the full version. I think this really helped us be productive because we never had a system that was to large for us.
