POSITION TITLE: Senior Reliability Design Engineer
REPORTS TO: Reliability Director
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN
POSITION SUMMARY:
Implement planned reliability strategies in the Design Engineering Group for compressors. The reliability activities are related to: predictions, fault tree analysis, FMECA, environmental considerations, requirements allocations, derating and Critical Item Identification.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for Life Cycle cost analysis, WCCA, Software Reliability, Reliability Growth and Reliability Qualification Testing (HALT, ESS, HASS, RQT, PRAT, ALT, TAAF).
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited too:
* Implement global reliability program for Design Engineering with effective integration of product materials, manufacturing and aftermarket requirements;
* Implementation of numerical analysis methodologies with the objective of assessing product reliability (At design and Field Reliability);
* Implement process to insure that appropriate and project specific reliability allocations are taken in to consideration during the design process;
* Improve overall component and system reliability over time (Reliability Growth);
* Include Reliability Requirements in the engineering design systems (Windchill, etc);
* Work with Design Engineers to define reliability goal targets, Critical Items list and determining reliability predictions and FTA for the Design Engineering Group;
* Responsible for identifying product Maintainability Requirements and Preventive Maintenance Sequence for products
REQUIREMENTS:
* BSME or BSEE. Master’s degree a plus.
* At least seven years experience in Reliability Engineering Testing and Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
* Strong knowledge of reliability analysis techniques like: Weibull analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, FMECAs, FTAs, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, Reliability Growth models, Software Reliability Models, Derating, and Reliability Allocation.
* Must have experience in mechanical, electronics and software reliability.
* Must have experience in HALT, ESS and RQT testing.
* Experience in Reliability Modeling using common Reliability Analysis Software platforms.
* Ability to relocate
