Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Work with modality engineering to analyze and drive dramatic improvements in reliability across the system, with primary focus on new subsystems designed within the scope of the program. Drive system analysis and subsystem analysis during design phase, make design recommendations and perform necessary testing. In addition, mentoring and teaching the global engineering organization about reliability tools and processes is required to raise the competence level and total business impact of more reliable designs. The successful candidate will deliver a dramatic impact in reliability as measured by engineering, manufacturing and service metrics; and project the total life cycle costs of predicted reliability in manufacturing (DPU, cycle time, etc.) and service (warranty). Each member of the reliability team is expected to participate in the Design for Reliability COE to drive awareness across the engineering organization.
Qualifications/Requirements:
*BS in Engineering (MS preferred)
*5 years product development experience in mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines
*3 years experience in reliability engineering process, tools and techniques with demonstrated success.
*Influence and communication skills are all crucial to success.
*GB certified
