Title: Product Reliability Engineer in Shady Grove, PA

Description:
•Familiar with Reliability Engineering methods and practices such as, Highly Accelerated Stress Screening. Highly Accelerated Life Testing
•Trained in the Six Sigma methodology (Black Belt preferred) or equivalent statistical analysis techniques and software expertise with MiniTab V14.
•Strong problem solving skills utilizing data to support problem resolution.
•Excellent people skills including team building and leadership abilities.
•Able to work independently and proactively without direct supervision.
•Able to lead multiple projects concurrently
•Knowledge of product development systems.
•Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturability.
•Knowledge and experience with Reliability software packages: Weibull 6++, ITI’s reliability growth and monitoring package.
•Familiar and able to work with Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Visio.

Essential Functions:
•Optimize new and current designs for improved reliability
•Improve product reliability through analysis of field samples, statistical analysis and design changes.
•Provide Reliability Engineering support to design engineering teams
•Diagnose product issues with customers, suppliers and representatives and provide innovative solutions.
•Utilize statistical techniques such as Weibull analysis to predict product failure rates and quantify improvement activities
•Serve as a consultant to broaden deployment of Reliability tools at the MCG Shady Grove Facility.
•Establish methods for early indicators of warranty problems
•Develop test methods to simulate field environment.
•Develop product reliability goals and processes to achieve them
•Develop product duty cycles, and design goals.
•Support and Develop design guidelines for product reliability.
•Participate in design, FMEA, and product development gate reviews.
•Review product reliability targets and test results to confirm reliability.

Qualifications:
•BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Technology or equivalent.
•5-10 years experience in product development, testing or reliability in automotive/truck, construction equipment, or agricultural products engineering.
•2-5 years experience in component reliability engineering.
•Six Sigma Black belt training.
•ASQ CRE Certification.
