I have an immediate opening in Michigan for a Senior Level Lead Reliability Engineer for a reputable military defense contractor.

Job Description:

- Lead the program reliability efforts and activities
- Perform reliability engineering and data analysis activities
- Perform reliability assessments of new concepts including predictions, allocations, Failure Modes, Effects, Criticality Analysis (FMECA), reliability growth models and Logistic Support Analysis
-Perform reliability assessment of field hardware. Follow/monitor results of vehicle testing. Investigate and report pattern incidents. Perform corrective action investigations.
-Interface with computerized data bases and run Reliability models (Relex and Reliasoft –RGA-6)
-Write reports/letters
-Prepare data for scoring/assessment conferences and upper management presentations
-Lead and coach Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma and Robust Engineering teams

Requirements:

-Bachelor Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering – minimum
-Experience in reliability/ robustness/ maintainability disciplines
-Background in military vehicle design development preferred
-Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma Black Belt is desired
-Reliasoft – RGA-6 REQUIRED
-Problem solving skills including Shainin Red X
-Proficiency in emerging quality engineering tools such as Taguchi Methods, Axiomatic Design and TRIZ desired
-Interface effectively with engineers and customer
-May be required to obtain Security Clearance
