Hi all,

I am a beginner of the reliability engineer. Currently just have a read on Weibull distribution and have some confusion between eta and MTTF. Do you mind to explain to me what is the different between MTTF and ETA?

ETA is at 63.2% and what about MTTF? Are they the same?

Thanks for your comment in advance

Best Regards
Keith

In the Weibull distribution, eta is only equal to MTTF when beta is equal to 1. Otherwise, the Weibull MTTF is calculated with a formula that incorporates the values of eta and beta. This formula can be viewed in ReliaSoft's Life Data Analysis On-Line Reference at http://www.weibull.com/LifeDataWeb/weibull_statistical_properties.htm.
