Accelerated testing of mechanical parts motors compressors

I would like to know if the ALT method has been used for electric motor(<1hp) and refrigeration compressor development/qualification work. If so I would like to get a reference to a manufacturer doing the work or some refernces with hard data. I am particularly interested to see what failure models have been used.

I would suggest that you visit RAC's (Reliability Analysis Center) web site at http://rac.iitri.org/InfoResources/Rac_ReliabilityData.html. They maintain extensive quantitative and qualitative databases on component/assembly reliability data.
