I need assistance in doing stress-strength analysis. As I understand it, the S-S in Weibull++ is only valid if the sample size in the stress and strength variables is the same. Is there a way (non-weibull++) that can handle different sample sizes? Also, besides having the same sample size, must the data type be the same as well (non-censored vs. censored variables)?
Thanks very much.

The stress-strength tool in Weibull++ provides a simple means for comparing two distributions. How these distributions are derived is immaterial to this elementary analysis. Consequently, the sample size is immaterial to this analysis. However, the results from this analysis may be misleading if the distribution is derived from a small sample, as the resulting distribution may not accurately model the data in question. This would apply if the samples for both the stress and the strength were small. It is recommended that users perform a comparison using the contour plot feature in Weibull++ in addition to the stress-strength analysis.
