Overstress Temperature or Voltage

I'm doing a research about accelerated life testing of transformers. The chosen model has only 3 VA power output with tape insulation. It's a component in control circuit of microwave oven.

First, I'll test them by high usage rate method because they operate short time in a day. Is my idea ok?

Later, I need to do overstress test to them. I wonder which stress is appropriate for this test.

The usage rate acceleration idea is OK. On the overstress side you need to pick an appropriate stimulus. Voltage and/or Temperature may be suitable candidates.
