Item Group question

Do blocks in the same group share all maintenance policies? If an inspection occurs for one item, and the PM or CM of other blocks in the same group are set to "upon maintenance of another item in the group", does that mean the CM or PM gets triggered due to the inspection?

I am want to program my diagram so that a PM or CM is triggered only when a CM occurs in another block in the same group.

Just to clarify, blocks in the same group do not automatically share the same maintenance policies. As you mentioned, the Upon Maintenance of another Group Item option (applies to PM and inspections) for the PM or inspection policy needs to be checked and this policy should be selected for each applicable block. A CM cannot be performed based on the maintenance of another group item. However, a PM can be performed which will then perform the replacement. So, yes, you can set your diagram up so that when the CM or PM occurs on another block in the same group, a PM or inspection, depending on your policy, is conducted on the other block(s) in the group. An inspection cannot trigger maintenance of another group item.
