Hi,

Does anyone have experience with applying the CROW-AMSAA (NHPP-powerlaw) model for reliability growth of software in the testing phase? If I look at literature the NHPP-poerlaw model is hardly mentioned for software. Most often is referred to the NPHH-exponential and S-shaped models (with or without imperfect debugging). So, I am wondering whether the powerlaw model (and therefore CROW-AMSAA) can be apllied to SW. Would be nice if it could, because then I could apply the RGA software for analysis.

Yes, the Crow-AMSAA model can be used to analyze data for software reliability. We have two articles which present examples of using RGA 6 for software reliability.

I hope this helps.
