This position is located in our Snoqualmie, WA. facility.
Candidate Responsibilities Develop test methods to verify product performance and reliability.
Review new and current test methods as well as methods developed by other engineers and technicians.
Develop specifications and methods for test equipment independently or with other engineers.
Review existing equipment, adaptation of equipment (if needed) and specification of further equipment, which includes the description and the release of the equipment.
Perform and document product tests.
Provide appropriate documentation of the results and conclusions out of the tests. This includes management of testing, reviewing of test results and analyzing the test data by using appropriate statistical methods.
Provide training and support in the areas of use of test methods, use of equipment and Philips Quality and business processes.
Use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.
Suggest product enhancements.
Proficient in technical requirements associated with areas of work.
Use and apply basic engineering principles, theories and concepts to multiple tasks.
Work effectively in team environment by collaborating to produce results.
Effectively present information and responds to questions from team members, team leaders and engineering management.
Follow technical documentation requirements and may write department procedures on specific processes.
Prepare technical reports for internal use.
Candidate Profile Education/Experience
BS degree in engineering or scientific related.
Minimum 2 years experience. 5 years preferred.
Knowledge and experience in electro or mechanical design and application.
Strong working knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements, including design controls.
Medical Device industry experience a plus.
Desired Competencies
Strong background in quality tools such as Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (FMEA), and HALT/HASS.
Strong background in product development processes.
Working knowledge of statistical methods and techniques such as DOE and SPC (in-depth statistical knowledge is a plus).
Experience in writing, maintaining and implementing QA system and test procedures.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Able to work and participate in a team environment.
Highly motivated to work in a multi-project environment.
Strong problem solving skills.
ASQ Certifications are desired. For example Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
