Modeling alternative maintenance concepts in Blocksim

I need some help setting up alternative maintenance concepts. In Blocksim I have a simple system of two components in series. Each has the same failure distribution (from Weibull++: Lognormal(6.88,1.46)).

Scenario 1: I have set up the maintenance corrective action for each component to be replaced on failure. No preventative or inspection actions. I ran the analysis and simulation, obtaining reasonable reliability measures for this simple system.

Scenario 2: How do I set up the maintenance of the components so that when either component fails the other component is also replaced?

You can set this up in the PM policy. In reality you are performing a PM on the non-failed component when the other fails. Under the PM Policy window, you can check the option "Upon Maintenance of another Group Item." Make sure that the Item Group # is the same for both blocks.
