Hi,
My coworker told me that Weibull 7++ software can calculate beta value with both X and Y regression.
On Wellbull 7++ software, they have both regression on X and regression on Y option.
Since the time is on X axis, using regression on X would be better fit.
On Alta, can we test the regression method by just using one condition?

My question is
1. Is it possible to select X and Y regression method to get beta value on Alta?
2.If not, is Alta use regression on Time axis?

Thanks,
Swalex

The short answer is no.
Whereas Weibull++ allows computation using both Rank Regression and MLE, ALTA models are computed using only MLE. Aside from the underlying parameter estimation methodology ALTA will compute all model parameters, including a common beta.
