Hello !
I am designing a reliability base for an automotive supplier in which I would like to put basic failures and their failure rates according to warranty data.
These waranty data consist basically in a chart with a column "age" showing the age of the system when it failed and a column "failure" describing the failure.
Unfortunately some failure are basic failures and others intermediate consequences of basic failures.
Is it a good idea to try to put basic failures and non-basic failures side by side in the reliability base ? Or is it better to design a reliability base with only non basic failures to avoid the risk of mixing infomations between basic and non basic failures ?
Thanks for your help,
