View Full Version : Too complicat use of reliability network models in Reliyasost RBDs program Example 16

I am a reliability eng. trying to build a rel model for a complex netwrok which have 21 inputs and 125 outputs. I cam acrros Reliasoft RBDS program and found on page
"http://www.weibull.com/SystemRelWeb/configurations_with_mirrored_blocks.htm" a network example. Reliasoft provide a very complicated solution presented on the same page. In the mean time I found another program which I can draw the network as WYSIWYG. Why you are using such a complicated solution?

Mark, the example you refer to uses an RBD to represent a network with inputs and outputs. The complication you refer to stems from the fact that you are trying to model a network with inputs and outputs as an RBD. Now it is posible to just look at networks as "networks" and anlyze it that way (if thats all you wanted to do). As for the other tool, I am not sure what tool you are referring to, and what assumptions limitations it may contain, so I can not directly offer you an answer.

Can u help me to dela with this exercise?
Is required to operate at an avarage availability of no less then 92 % - optimize spare parts for this system in steady state for 2 years.
Use the poisson distribution to estimate the number of needed spare parts for this period.

2) repair time
3) recycle time
