All,
I am using a 2-parameter Weibull distribution to model the probability of movement by radio-marked birds. I have found www.weibull.com very useful but am unable to find any discussion of overdispersion parameters. Briefly, I will be constructing models with different covariates that may describe movement patterns of birds, and I will be using an information-theorretic (i.e., AIC) approach to model selection. I need to calculate an overdispersion parameter in order to evaluate model adequacy. Any suggestions?
