How would I set up an analysis using 2 or 3 field failures out of a population of 88? I know the mileage the units failed. They are the same failures.
Thank you.

When dealing with field data one uses the information on the failed units as failure times, and the information on the remaining times as suspensions (i.e. information as to the last known good state). As an example consider a population of 5 where 1 failed at 20 hours another at 10 hours and the remaining operated for 100 hours. The data set would consist of a Failures at 20 and 100 hours, and 3 suspensions all at 300 Hours. This would then be analyzed using a life distribution. For more details on data types see the discussion at:

Information on the analysis can also be found there.
